Industrial Control System (ICS) Consultant
The ICS Consultant will possess strong working knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control Systems – specializing in design, programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up. Your Role
- PLC, HMI, DCS and SCADA system programming and configuration
- Design, configuration, integration, and implementation of automated equipment
- Develop software and hardware design specifications
- Design, write, test and document PLC and HMI software
- Create Control Narratives, Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Network Diagrams
- Develop and execute control system validation/testing protocols
- Troubleshoot, test, and start-up control systems onsite
- QA/QC Testing of Control Panels in our Panel Shop
- Assist BD team with cost estimates and proposal development
- Consult with clients to conceptualize and deliver success
Qualifications & Skills
- BSEE, BSME, or related Engineering degree from an accredited university, or commensurate experience
- 5+ years of experience designing and programming control systems with emphasis on PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems is required
- Experience with start-up and commissioning of automated equipment
- Experience with various sensors, transmitters, and flow meters
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required
- Experience with control system networking technologies and PC networking technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC card
